DIGITAL FIRST RUNNER-UP
In 2019, we decided to enter the Cannes Young Lions competition as a team for the first time, entering both digital and film categories. The competition is a call to all creatives under 30 to answer a surprise brief for a nonprofit partner and turn some great work around with just 10 days. The 2019 brief was singularly focused on helping the non-profit End Allergies Together, or EAT, end the growing food allergy epidemic.
In 10 days, we dreamt up and prototyped a digital utility for sufferers of severe food allergies. Introducing EATiD, a digital tool made to increase awareness, drive donations and mine relevant data that can help researchers find a cure for the growing food allergy epidemic.
For our work, we earned a first runner-up title out of hundreds of US entries.
We’d also like to note we came up with this a full year before the pandemic made QR health IDs a standard. :)
FILM SUBMISSION
On the same timeline, we also created a film for EAT. Our inspiration came from the wave of true crime documentaries and podcasts taking center stage in the streaming wars at the time.
